Adelaide

Hi Sorry it has been a couple of days since a post. We went to Adelaide to mind a friends house and dog for a few days and it rained most of the time and I just couldn't get excited about writing a blog on a wet city. After all the great adventures we have had it was a bit hard to get in the grove of the city. Saying that Adelaide is a lovely city and a good size sort of like Brisbane before it decided to go all glitzy!

We were also in Adelaide to pick up our friend Anne who has come to join us for a week of busing - actually we are cheating a little we are going over to Kangaroo Island for 3 nights and staying in a cottage. Mainly because it was a lot cheaper than taking the bus on the ferry. But we are all in the bus for the other nights. Very cosy!

More wineries - the Barossa this time. Lots of fun tasting and a quick trip to Maggie Beers for some very tastie pate. Then today Anne and I had a visit to the Zoo while Jim moved the bus to our new destination Normanville Midi bus will wait here for us until Friday. Very pretty little town by the beach toward the south of the Fleurieu Peninsular.

The autumn leaves are amazing! Something we don't see here in Brisbane. And the Rockford Winery is particularly beautiful. You all look to be having a happy old time. I love the zoo shots! Who knew there is a Panda in Australia! And the Lemurs !!
Sad to hear about the rain in Adelaide. I look forward to hearing about the Kangaroo Island leg. (Do lots of washing in your out-of-bus retreat!

Wow Keep the photo's coming you guys. We are so enjoying your trip. Haven't been online much due to our reno's as most rooms of the house are covered in drop sheets & plastic. Rain is holding up the painters progress as everything is taking so long to dry. But it is all coming together. Kitchen is in & floors are down. A few hiccups but all is sorting itself out. A night in the bus would have been a lot better & more enjoyable than the nights on the lounge & floor here. LOL
