We headed out on Wednesday the 22nd - because of the late start we deicded to just get going so Roma first stop - up to Blackall to meet with our friend Gerry. Winton next, dinosaur capital of Australia! How they know something is 98 million years old still baffles me.
So not a lot of sight seeing as yet.
On making it to Winton, Jim noticed poor midi bus was using way more oil than she should have been. Long day of decsions with the final one being we needed to really sort out how much oil we were using and that required a trip - where do we go? Back to Brisbane, back to the coast maybe Rocky or Townsville, or maybe head the way we really want to go and hopefully either fix the problem ourselves (meaning Jim fixing the problem not really we) or find some people to talk to about our problem. So Mt Isa it is. Not a bad town but the prospect of spending a week here is not very inspiring as we have to get 6 new pistons in the engine - not cheap!!! Maybe our trip and really get going after this!

Hope you guys are surviving Mt Isa - at least this should give you time to post something on your blog? Glad you aren't here, its bucketing down and extremely gloomy - good doona weather.
